I recently purchased two foldable tablet holders from MISURA because we go on a cottage trip almost every weekend with our 2 kids (8 and 12 years old). The journey takes sometimes two hours due to frequent traffic jams. However, the kids take their tablets with them and watch their movies, series and cartoons. They have headphones attached to their tablets so they don’t disturb each other, and let’s face it, they don’t disturb us either
Each of the children has their own tablet holder, which attaches to the front seat where the headrest is. The holders are inserted between the bars of the headrest and then just attached with a screw. The bolt is tight and the holder doesn’t float there, it really holds as it should. Even a small child can attach the bracket, I tighten it up a bit after them if necessary. The kids use them on their own though. They can adjust themselves whether they want the tablet in portrait or landscape thanks to the swivel knob. We have them in the car all the time, we don’t take them off, so we just get in the car, the kids set up the tablets, plug in the headphones and off we go
I could choose from two kinds of these holders online – the classic one and this folding one. I chose the folding one because it’s easier to handle and the tablet tilts nicely. Occasionally, while driving, one of the kids will point out what story they’re running at the time, so the flexible arm just makes the tablet rotate on us. That’s very hilarious. But the question is how long the arm will last. In some holders, it happens that over time the screws loosen and the leg then does not hold in the desired position
The Misura holder looks very reliable so far. And if it were to last only a year, it would still be a very good investment. The purchase price is a couple of hundred, so any possible destruction wouldn’t hurt me anymore, they’ve already served us well 🙂 We got them in red and black because we have a girl and a boy, so the kids can tell them apart. I mustn’t forget one more important point, and that is charging. The holder has holes prepared so that the charger can be pushed through and it is possible to have the tablet in the net while it is attached to the holder. This comes in very handy very often!
